Every day, more and more companies depend on their Android and iOS devices. Many of these devices hold sensitive corporate information, including customer data and account information. According to the Metropolitan Police, over 10,000 mobile devices are lost or stolen each month in the UK! If a device is lost or stolen, the information stored on it is also lost or stolen. The device, whether stolen from a hotel room or forgotten on a connecting flight, can always be replaced, but its data is invaluable and far more important to criminals than the device itself.

Remote Lock

Should you lose or misplace a device, 3CX Mobile Device Manager lets you change the password and lock the device from the online dashboard, safeguarding all of the data on the device until you can retrieve it. Locking the device is as simple as selecting it from the list of devices, pressing the lock button and then specifying the password that you want to enforce.

Remote Wipe

Sometimes a lost or stolen mobile device cannot be recovered. You can use 3CX Mobile Device Manager to wipe all of the data entirely from the device and on attached SD cards. By wiping the device, you prevent your company’s valuable information from falling into the wrong hands.

Remote Lock and Wipe via SMS

Even if your device is not connected to the internet, you can still prevent any sensitive corporate data or personal information being taken from it by remote locking and wiping it via SMS.
